Description
Park Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in 1728, with early 19th-century and mid-19th-century alterations. It is constructed from coursed squared sandstone and red brick, topped with a plain tile roof that features a plain eaves band, brick gable stacks, and a brick ridge stack. The building has two storeys and follows a lobby entrance plan with an additional bay added later.
The east elevation has three bays, with the right two bays on the ground floor made of stone. These bays contain a central doorway with a stone lintel inscribed "W : G 1728," flanked by broad 19th-century casement windows under massive stone lintels. To the left, there is an early 19th-century brick bay with a doorway that has a wooden lintel and a plank door, along with a segment-headed casement window. The mid-19th-century brick first floor features three 2-light casement windows with wooden lintels and stone sills. The lobby entrance plan is preserved, showcasing inglenooks and beamed ceilings.
