Description
The churchyard walls to the Parish Church of St Oswald are low brick walls topped with stone coping, marking the boundary of the churchyard along Church Street, School Lane, and the north side of Spalden Almshouses on School Lane. These walls, along with Nos 38, 40, and 72, Pegg's Almshouses, Owlfield's Almshouses, The Mansion, the Summerhouse, and the cobbled pavements, create a cohesive group with the Parish Church of St Oswald and the churchyard gate piers and gates. The churchyard gate piers and gates, as well as the section of the churchyard walls on School Lane, are part of a group with all the listed buildings on School Lane and with No 69 Church Street.
