Description

The garden wall, piers, and gates to Spalden's Almshouses date from the 18th century. The structure features a red brick wall topped with stone coping. It includes brick piers that have stone caps and contemporary iron gates. On the north side, there are capped stone pillars, but no gates are present. This building is part of a group with No 69 Church Street and the School Lane section of the churchyard walls surrounding the parish church of St Oswald.
