Description

Nos 50 to 62 on North Parade in Matlock Bath were built around 1840. This three-storey stone building features five tall casement windows without glazing bars, each set in plain architraves topped with cornice hoods and foliated consoles. A wrought iron balcony spans the first floor, and there is a plain band and a modillion eaves cornice. The roof is covered with slates. The shop fronts date from the 19th century, with No 62 showcasing a prominent double-fronted design. This building is part of a group that includes the Methodist Church and other properties on North Parade.
