Description

Nos 52 to 55 on George Street, built around 1810, feature a roughcast front and a tiled hipped roof. The building has four storeys and is four windows wide. The second and third floors have sash windows with glazing bars set in plain architraves. The first floor has segmental bowed bays with reeded architraves, cornices, and three curved sashes with glazing bars. The ground floor consists of early 19th-century shop fronts with a continuous moulded cornice, which is partly covered by a modern fascia. All listed buildings on George Street form a group.
