Description

No. 11 School Lane is a cottage dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of red brick featuring burnt brick headers and some decorative diaper work. The roof is covered with plain tiles and has brick gable stacks, as well as brick coped gables with plain kneelers. The building has brick bands at the first and second floors, with the upper band extending only along half of the elevation. The east elevation consists of two bays, with a central doorway that has a segmental head and a half-glazed door. This doorway is flanked by 3-light casement windows, also with segmental heads. Above, there are two similar windows.
