Description
East Lodge and gate piers to Osmaston Manor were built around 1848 by Henry Stevens of Derby. The lodge is constructed from coursed squared rock-faced limestone with gritstone dressings and features a stone slate roof that has a deep overhang supported by wooden brackets. There is a central stone stack. The building has two storeys and is designed in a T-plan. A stone band runs along the first floor. The west elevation consists of two bays, with the left bay projecting and featuring a 4-light recessed and chamfered mullion window on each floor, while the right bay has a similar 2-light window. Recessed and chamfered mullion windows are present on the other elevations. The lodge is connected to a wall on the southeast and includes gate piers with moulded caps.
