Description

The village cross, also known as the market cross, is likely from the 14th century and was restored in the late 17th or early 18th century. It is made of sandstone and features two octagonal steps leading up to a square base with chamfered corners and broaches. Atop this base is a circular column with a moulded base and top, which supports a cube-shaped sundial. The sundial has incised faces and a metal gnomon. Above it is a ball finial, which is topped with a cross.
