Description

This is a row of three cottages dating back to the 17th, 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries, situated on Church Street in the parish of Barlborough. The cottages are constructed of coursed squared sandstone with sandstone dressings, featuring chamfered coped gables, a brick gable stack, and two brick ridge stacks, all beneath a pantile roof. The building has a roughly L-shaped plan. The west-facing elevation, which fronts the street, has a gable end and features a Venetian window on the ground floor, with a 20th-century window above. The return elevation to the right has a single-bar sash window at its center, flanked by doorways with plank doors incorporating glazed upper panels. Matching single-bar sashes are positioned above. The elevation to the right displays a doorway with a moulded stone surround. To its right is a two-light mullion window with squared leaded lights, a similar window is on the left, and another two-light Yorkshire sash with a plain stone surround on the left again. Above, three two-light mullioned windows, each with plain stone surrounds and squared leaded lights, are present.
