Description

PARISH OF SHOTTLE AND POSTERN WILDERBROOK LANE (off) SK 34 NW 4/65 Handley Farmhouse and attached outbuilding to the west. II Farmhouse and attached outbuilding. c1800. Coursed squared gritstone with eaves band, plain gables, end ashlar ridge stacks and a plain tiled roof. House with lower attached range to rear which extends westwards as farm outbuilding into yard. House part: two storeys and attics, two bays with glazing bar sashes set below wedge lintels with 'V' shaped rustication. Off-centre doorway with six-panelled door enclosed by flat roofed stone porch, with moulded pilasters supporting lintel and cornice. Lower range to rear with two 2-light flush mullioned window above C20 glazed lean-to, to rear elevation, with plain quoined surround to blocked doorway on south elevation, flanked by two plain window openings. Lean-to attached to house west gable.
