Description
Crowtrees Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse located in the parish of Shottle and Postern. It is constructed of coursed squared gritstone and features coped gables with moulded kneelers, as well as end ridge brick stacks that have been rendered. The roof is plain tiled. The building has a double pile plan and is two storeys high, with three bays that include 2-light flush mullioned windows set beneath plain unmoulded drips. The central doorway has a plain surround and lintel, also beneath an unmoulded drip, and features a 20th-century half-glazed door. The rear elevation of the rear pile retains the surrounds of two 2-light chamfered mullioned openings. There is a single-storey pitched roof addition that is set back at the west end.
