Description
Two former granaries located to the rear of numbers 5 and 6 in Uppingham, dating from the 18th century. The granary to the north is constructed of coursed rubble with a brick gable on the south side, featuring a Collyweston stone slate mansard roof and a brick stack at the north end. It has steps leading up to a first-floor entrance, which is flanked by two 19th-century sash windows under timber lintels. There is also a two-light window and 20th-century garage doors below. The granary to the south is made of ironstone and has a Welsh slate roof with a brick stack at the north-west corner. It features small openings beneath timber lintels on both the ground and first floors. These buildings are included for their group value.
