Description
This is a house dated 1697, located on School Lane in Uppingham. It is built of squared stone and features a Welsh slate roof with coped gables and end stacks, which are brick to the north and brick on a stone base to the south. The house has two storeys and an attic, with a moulded band between the storeys and a cove and box cornice.
On the ground floor, there is a central panelled and part-glazed door set within a moulded architrave. To the left of the door is an 8/8 sash window, and to the right is a bow shop window with glazing bars. The first floor features two 8/8 sash windows flanking an oval window in a rectangular surround, with a datestone above. There are also two flat-roofed dormers with glazing bars.
