Description

Shaw's Farmhouse is a house dating from around 1700, which was raised a storey at the front around 1800. It is constructed of coursed squared stone with a plinth, quoins, and stone dressings. The front roof is covered with Welsh slate, while the rear roof features Collyweston slate, and there are moulded stone stacks at the ends. The gables are stone coped. The building has a T plan with a wing at the rear.

It has three storeys, featuring three 2-light casement windows on each of the first and second floors. On the ground floor, there are three-light windows on either side of a central doorway. The doorway has a moulded stone frame and a six-panelled door, with the top panels being glazed. On the left end of the house, there are two 2-light stone mullion windows with hood moulds on both floors, although the upper left and lower right windows are blocked. The right end also has 2-light windows on both floors, all of which are blocked.
