Description

Old Queen House is a cottage dated 1733, though it may have earlier origins. It is constructed of coursed rubble stone with quoins and features a thatched roof with brick end stacks. The gables are stone-coped. The building has 2½ storeys and includes two 2-light casement windows. On the second floor, there are two 2-light windows set in long eyebrow dormers. The ground floor has a blocked doorway to the left and a centre-opening 3-light window to the right. There is also a door in a two-storey wing at the rear. Between the first-floor windows, there is a stone tablet with a hood inscribed with 'M' over 'GR 1733'.
