Description

No. 117 on Main Street is a house dating from the late 18th to early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed ironstone rubble with Uppingham stone quoins and features a flush band course at the first floor. The roof is made of Welsh slate and has coped gables, with flanking brick chimneys. The building is L-shaped and has two storeys with three bays. The outer bays contain 20th-century three-light wooden casements with horizontal glazing bars, while the centre bay features a similar two-light casement above a flush-panelled top-lit door. The rear wing has a corrugated iron roof, three-light wooden casements, and a wide board door.
