Description
The building consists of a dovecote and stables, dating from the early 19th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble, with the dovecote featuring a gable that is partly rendered. The roofs are covered with 20th-century interlocking tiles.
The structure has an L-plan layout, with the eastern end serving as a loft that is used as a dovecote. The dovecote bay has coped gables and a mostly blocked two-light window high in the gable end, along with a stable door flanked by windows on the north side. Any previous dove entries have been concealed by render, but it is said to contain nesting boxes.
The adjacent bay includes a stable door, a slatted window, and a loft window. The bay to the north has a stable door with a slatted window above it, as well as stone steps leading up to a loft door on the right. This building is included for its group value.
