Description

Nos 1 and 2 Choir Close are two shops housed in a single building dating from the early 19th century. The structure is three storeys high and constructed of red brick. It features early 19th century shop fronts that are unified under one cornice. On the first floor, there are two rectangular bay windows with glazing bars. The third storey has a small window with glazing bars for No 1, while No 2 has modern glass. The doorways are adorned with paterae ornaments. Nos 1 to 3 form a group with Nos 35 and 37, the Market Cross and Stocks, in the Market Place.
