Description

The Market Cross is a 17th-century structure located in the Market Place. It features eight timber posts that support an octagonal stone slate roof, with a central stone shaft positioned on steps next to the stocks. The Market Cross, along with the stocks and the buildings at Nos 35 and 37, as well as Nos 1 to 3 Church Passage, form a significant group.
