Description

Southview Cottage is a cottage with a core dating from the mid 17th century, although it has undergone significant renewal. The building is constructed of coursed rubble and features a new roof covering with dormers. It has 1½ storeys and a three-unit plan. The left-hand gable end includes two-light stone mullioned windows that have ovolo moulding and hood-moulds at the first floor level. In the main facade, all windows have been renewed and enlarged from earlier openings, though the hood-moulds remain intact. The door is set in a renewed four-centred arched opening. The cottage also features gable stacks and coping.
