Description

Nos. 7 and 9 Church Street are a pair of houses, likely built in the mid-17th century, with some later alterations. They are constructed from coursed ironstone rubble and have a Welsh slate roof. Both houses are two storeys tall, although their ground plans differ.

No. 7 features a three-light stone mullioned window with a hoodmould to the left of a doorway that has a four-centred arch. To the right of this doorway, there is another three-light mullioned window and a doorway with a stone lintel and keystone, which may date from the 19th century. Beyond the door, there is yet another three-light window. The upper windows are renewed casements, with one chimney stack located behind the entry to No. 7 and another on the right-hand gable.
