Description
Lodge Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely has its origins in the 17th century, although it is mainly from the 18th century. The building is constructed of coursed rubble with a string course, and features some ashlar work on the upper right-hand section. It has angle quoins and is two storeys high with three bays. The door is now located in the gable wall, but it may have originally been in the center of the front elevation, where there is now a small window. There are three casement windows, with the one on the ground floor to the right having a stone hood mould. The farmhouse has old brick gable end stacks, a 19th-century modillion eaves cornice, and a slate roof. At the rear, there is an outshut that contains a central doorway. The ground floor windows have stone heads, and there are three dormers above.
