Shops and offices. c1900, altered late C20. Probably by John Howitt of Nottingham. Red brick with ashlar dressings. Roof not visible. 2 ridge and 2 gable stacks. 4 and 5 storeys; 17 window range, arranged 2:2:2:2:1:2:2:2:2. Windows are mainly composite sashes with glazing bar upper lights, and stone surrounds with cornices, pediments or keystones. Curved facade following the street line, with a central block, 5 storeys, flanked side ranges, 4 storeys. The bays are defined by pilasters, and the whole range has an eaves cornice and unpierced balustrade with urns. Ground floor has a central doorway with pediment, flanked by 8 bays with shopfronts, all altered late C20. 3 bays to right have their original stone pilasters and brackets. Above, 3 floors with regular courses of windows. The central fifth floor has a central window flanked by triple windows, all defined by Doric pilasters.
