Description

Four lamp posts located on the south side of the Council House in Nottingham were constructed around 1929 by Cecil Howitt for Nottingham City Council. These octagonal cast-iron posts feature finials and each has a crossbar that supports two pendant electric lamps. The lamps have chamfered corners and opaque glass. These lamp posts were designed as part of the rebuilding scheme for the Council House and Market Square.
