Description
The war memorial at the junction with Woodthorpe Drive in Nottingham was built around 1918 and restored around 1990. It is made of Portland stone and features a tapered round shaft supported by four tall buttresses, which is topped with a crocketed pinnacle. The memorial stands on an octagonal pedestal that has bronze plaques. Surrounding the memorial is Portland stone paving and an octagonal boundary wall made of rock-faced Bulwell stone with rounded coping. It includes two cast-iron gates and four lengths of cast-iron railing.
