Borough boundary mark. Dated 1877. Cast-iron. Half-round column approx 800mm high, with domed top, dated 1877. Framed panel with coat of arms, and the inscription "Borough of Nottingham". Below it, "Boundary". The Borough boundary was extended in 1877 to include several outlying parts. (The Buildings of England: Pevsner N: Nottinghamshire: London: 1979-: 216).
