Description

The boundary mark at the junction with Porchester Road is a borough boundary marker dating from 1877. It is made of cast iron and stands approximately 800mm high with a half-round column topped by a dome. The marker features a framed panel displaying the coat of arms and the inscription "Borough of Nottingham," along with the word "Boundary" beneath it. This boundary mark was established when the borough boundary was extended in 1877 to include several outlying areas.
