Description
The boundary mark outside number 2A on Ropewalk in Nottingham is a cast-iron post dating from 1869. It has a half-round shape with a domed top and is inscribed with the date, the names of the Overseers of the Poor, and the phrase "Parish of Standard Hill." This boundary mark is part of several parish boundaries that were defined by Act of Parliament in 1869, which was related to the levying of Poor Rates.
