This boundary marker, located 40 meters north-east of the Castle Gatehouse in Nottingham, dates back to 1869. It is made of cast iron and features a half-round post with a domed top, standing approximately 1 meter high. The post is inscribed with the names of the Overseers of the Poor in raised lettering. The boundaries of several parishes were established in 1869 for the purpose of collecting Poor Rates.
