Includes: No.9 FORMAN STREET. Shops and offices. c1800 and c1840, altered C20. Red brick with ashlar dressings and slate roofs. To the right, a converted house, 3 storeys plus attics, with wooden dentillated cornice. Late C20 shopfront. Above, 2 glazing bar sashes on each floor, with wedge lintels and keystones, plus a first floor ashlar sill band. Attics have 2 box dormers. To right again, converted house, 3 storeys plus attics; 5 window range. Sill bands to each floor, modillion wooden cornice with breaks. Late C20 shopfronts, the right one with rusticated pilasters. Above, 5 glazing bar sashes on each floor, with wedge lintels and keystones. Attics have 5 segment-arched box dormers, restored. Return, to Forman Street, has a pedimented gable containing a pedimented casement. Ground floor shopfront, and 2 windows on each floor, 3 of them blanks. Above a small triangular headed 2-light casement in the gable. These buildings are part of a development including east and west sides of King's Walk.
