Description
No. 8 Low Pavement is an office building that has been converted into a restaurant. It was built in 1903 and has undergone some alterations in the mid-20th century. The structure is made of red brick, featuring an ashlar plinth and dressings, topped with a plain tile roof. It is a single storey plus attics and has a two-window range.
On the left side, there is an elliptical arched half-glazed door with an overlight, which is set beneath a moulded brick pediment. To the right, there are two reglazed windows located in round-arched recesses, with the left window showcasing a shaped keystone. Above these features, there is a prominent crow-stepped gable that includes two cross casements in round-arched recesses, separated by a central pilaster. Additionally, on the right side, there is an ornamental rainwater head that is dated 1903.
