Description
No. 82 on London Road is an early 19th-century building constructed of red brick. It features a low-pitched slate roof with paired brackets at the eaves cornice. The building stands three storeys high and has four widely spaced windows, each with segmental brick arches and sashes set in moulded cases without glazing bars. On the ground floor, there are two later splayed bay windows topped with dentilled cornices. To the left, there is a Doric porch with a heavy entablature that has triglyphs in the frieze, supported by columns and featuring a rectangular fanlight. To the right, there is an early 20th-century recessed porch with a wooden cornice supported on balusters and featuring elliptical arches. This building is included for its group value, as it forms part of a group with Nos. 78 to 82.
