Description
Masonic Hall, located at 80 London Road, is an early 19th-century building designed by the architect Thornton. This three-storey house features three windows and is constructed of stucco. The side windows are fitted with Venetian shutters, and all the sashes have glazing bars. A wide modillion eaves cornice adorns the top of the building, which has a low-pitched gable-ended roof covered with slates. The central porch boasts a semi-circular entablature with a narrow cornice and a plain frieze, supported by Tuscan columns. The entrance includes a panelled door set within a round-headed opening, complete with a fanlight. To the right, there is a two-storey section with one window.
