Description

This early 19th-century property comprises two houses, numbers 10 and 12, located on Newton Street. The building is constructed of red brick with a moulded stucco cornice and a slate roof. It is three storeys high and originally featured five windows, with the central three projecting slightly. A sill band is present below the first-floor windows. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars and sills, set within rubbed flat brick arches. Doorways are situated at each end, each featuring a segmental rubbed brick arch, fluted Doric quarter columns, a frieze, a segmental fanlight, and panelled doors. A central double-recessed passage entrance is topped with a round head and a fanlight with radial bars.
