Description
The Church of Holy Trinity, located on Regent Road, was originally built in 1838 by S. Smirke but was completely remodeled in 1871 by S. S. Teulon. The church is constructed of purple brick with stone dressings and features a slate roof, oriented on a north-south axis. It includes a nave, very low east and west aisles, a small south chancel, and a north tower topped with a spire made of brick and stone, which has lucarnes. Flanking the tower at the end of the nave are two low turrets with pavilion roofs. The church displays plate tracery. The interior has been significantly altered; the nave is divided in half by a partition, balconies have been removed, and a suspended ceiling was installed around the 1960s.
