Description

Knighton Hall is an early 18th-century building located on Knighton Road. It is constructed of red brick with stone quoins and features a parapet with stone coping and moulded brick panels, along with stone bands. The building has two storeys and four windows that have moulded stone architraves with keystones and tall sashes with glazing bars. There is a late 18th-century splayed bay on the ground floor. The early 18th-century section encases a late 16th-century core, which includes a fragment of a fireplace and chimney, as well as an 18th-century staircase with toned balusters.

To the left, there is a late 18th-century or early 19th-century addition, possibly designed by John Johnson. This section also has two storeys and two windows, featuring three-light rushes with segmental brick arches and a semi-circular open porch supported by two Tuscan columns. The interior includes a drawing room with tall niches in the end wall.

On the far left, there is a modern single-storey wing. At the rear, there is a 17th-century section that is roughcast with a slate roof, featuring three gables, two storeys, and an attic. This part has wood mullion/transom windows with glazing bars and a doorcase with a shouldered architrave and pulvinated frieze.
