Description
Nos 54 to 58 on Regent Road are early 19th-century buildings constructed of red brick, with No 54 being painted. They feature a slate roof and an eaves cornice with carved modillions on the soffit. The buildings rise three storeys and have six windows, with the first-floor windows having round heads linked by moulded stucco bands and arches. All windows are sashes with glazing bars, while the ground and second-floor windows have stuccoed lintels with keyblocks and sills. A stuccoed band connects the cornices of the doorcases, which are framed by stucco shouldered architraves. The doors are panelled and topped with rectangular fanlights. Notably, No 58 has a large modern ground-floor window and a large 20th-century dormer.
