Handed pair of cottages. c1800. Hammer-dressed stone, stone slate roof. 2 single cells. 2 storeys, 2 first-floor windows. Symmetrical facade. Quoins to right, deep ashlar plinth. Paired central doorways, approached up short flight of 2 well- dressed steps, have base blocks, monolithic jambs, imposts, keyed archivolt and glazed fanlights. Windows have wedge-shaped lintels (painted) cut with false voussoirs and projecting sills, altered glazing. Gable stack (rendered) to left, stack to right gable shared with No 18
