Description

No. 35 Main Street is a house dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed from hammer-dressed stone and has a concrete pantile roof. The building features a two-cell central-entry plan and stands two storeys tall, with two windows on the first floor. A deep ashlar plinth supports a symmetrical facade. The doorway, which is reached by two steps, has monolithic painted jambs, a six-panel door, and an overlight. The flanking bays contain windows with wedge-shaped lintels that are cut with false voussoirs, although the glazing has been altered. The house has gable stacks and is included for its group value.
