Description
This building is a farm cottage and stables located west of the gazebo at Farnley Hall, dating from around 1806. It is constructed of coursed squared gritstone and features a stone slate hipped roof with a central ridge stack. The structure is two storeys high and consists of three bays, arranged with two windows on the left, one in the center, and two on the right. The central bay, which has a pediment, projects forward and includes a large round-arched window that may have originally served as a loading door. The flanking windows are sashes with glazing bars, and there is a first-floor sill band. The ground floor has a wide stable door in the center and to the right, with a square six-pane window between them. On the far left is a bothey entrance, accompanied by a sash window to the right. There is also a first-floor door on the right return. The interior has not been inspected.
