Entrance block, offices, etc.; to former brewery. Early C19. Dressed sandstone; stone slate roofs. Roughly L-shaped plan, forming north and east sides of forecourt. Two storeys, in Classical style; main block on east side facing road has a sightly projecting pedimented centre with segmental-arched carriageway through, a lunette in the pediment, and a small bellcote on the roof with a windvane; right-hand end similarly projecting and pedimented, with a blind oeil-de-boeuf in the pediment; an impost band to the entrance arch runs out as a sill-band, with 2 square windows on each side at 1st floor, 3 similar windows at ground floor to the left, altered openings to the right. North range is itself L-shaped, the 1st part being a pedimented 2-bay wagon-house facing inwards, with coupled segmental-arched wagon doors at ground floor, 2 windows above (altered glazing), rusticated quoins at the left corner continued as banded rustication to the 2-bay return wall, which has 4-pane sashes; the 2nd part, set back, is an office also facing inwards with pedimented front and return walls, 3-bay front with a door in the centre, 2 windows at ground floor and 3 above, and blind oeil-de-boeuf in the pediment; and in the return wall a round-headed blind arch, In state of dilapidation at time of survey (1986),
