Description

Bridge Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse that has been converted into a boarding house. It features coursed squared sandstone and a slate roof. The building has an L-shaped plan with a double-depth front range, standing two storeys high and comprising three symmetrical bays. There is a first-floor band, and in the center, there is a shallow giant round-headed recess containing a glazed door with a six-pane overlight. The ground floor has two windows, while the first floor has three, all of which are 12-pane sashes with modern louvred imitation shutters. The roof is hipped and has two ridge chimneys. The sides, rear, and interior are considered to be of less interest. The farmhouse is listed for its group value.
