Description

This milepost, located approximately 120 metres to the north-east of the junction with Audby Lane, dates from the late 19th century and was made by Brayshaw and Booth of Liversedge. It is constructed from cast iron and is fixed onto a gritstone pillar. The milepost features angled sides and a sloping top plate beneath a round-headed panel. The raised lettering on the upper panel indicates "COLLINGHAM & YORK/ROAD/WETHERBY." The left side displays "YORK/13 MILES," while the right side reads "WETHERBY/+ MILE/COLLINGHAM/2, MILES/LEEDS/13 MILES."
