GV II

House and flat. Late C18-early C19. Coursed magnesian limestone, stone slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays with 1-storey, 2-bay wing on left. Large quoins. Central part-glazed door beneath flat arch flanked by 16-pane sashes with projecting stone sills and flat arches; 3 similar windows to 1st floor. Addition on left has blocked central doorway flanked by windows as rest. Main house has shaped kneelers without gable copings; yellow-brick end stacks. Served as the school-master's house, the wing to left presumably used as a school-room prior to the construction of the new village school in 1836. C20 lean-to on right return not of special interest.
