Golcar Providence Methodist Church

Golcar Providence Methodist Church was built in 1884, as indicated by the dated foundation stone. The church is constructed from hammer-dressed stone with ashlar dressings and features a pitched slate roof. It has two storeys, with an ashlar band and cornice separating the floors.

On the south gable, the central bay is flanked by ashlar pilasters on both floors, with clasping pilasters at the corners. The central light has a semi-circular ashlar head and apron, while there are doorways on each side, each with a semi-circular ashlar head and fanlights above double doors, which consist of three panels. Each side also has a single light, similar to the central light. Between the floors, there is a moulded ashlar cornice.

The first floor features five single lights, mirroring those on the ground floor, and beneath each light is a blind balustrade. The facade culminates in a parapet with the inscription: PROVIDENCE METHODIST CHURCH. Above the central bay, there is a pediment that houses a central clock, and five urns adorn the top of the parapet and pediment. The east and west elevations each have seven single lights on both floors, all with semi-circular arched heads. The interior has not been inspected.
