Description

No 1 Scar Top is a detached former weaver's house from the early 19th century that has been altered. It is constructed from hammer-dressed stone and features a plinth and a pitched stone slate roof. The building has two storeys. On the south elevation, the ground floor has a 7-light stone mullioned window, while the first floor has an 8-light stone mullioned window. Both windows have rendered mullions and surrounds. The north elevation includes a blocked doorway and a lean-to extension. There is also a modern flat-roofed rendered extension on the east gable, along with a 2-light stone mullioned window on the first floor. This building is included for its group value.
