Description

The Eightlands Well Public House, originally a villa, dates from the early to mid 19th century and has been altered over time. It is constructed of thinly coursed stone, featuring rusticated ashlar quoins and an ashlar plinth. The building has a low pitched, hipped stone slate roof with an eaves cornice gutter. It stands two storeys high and consists of five bays. The windows are later sash types. The central entrance is a panelled door framed by an architrave, with a rectangular fanlight frieze and cornice above. On either side of the main block, there are lower wings, each with a central panelled door topped by a semi-circular fanlight, and smaller later sash windows on either side.
