Description
This is a pair of early 19th-century cottages located on Dock Hill, Netherthong. They are built of hammer-dressed stone with a stone slate roof, the roof of number 2 being turned. The cottages feature one ashlar chimney stack. Each cottage is three storeys high, with a two-window arrangement to the rear elevation. A central doorway fronts each dwelling, flanked by one two-light stone mullioned window on each side. The first floor has one four-light window; the second floor features one three-light and one two-light window. The rear elevation has two central doorways and two two-light stone mullioned windows on the first floor, one of which has a removed mullion.
