Description
White Hull is a farmhouse built in 1761, as indicated by a datestone. The building features coursed rubble that has been painted, with quoins and a plinth. It has a pitched stone slate roof and two gable stacks made of ashlar, each with a plinth and string courses. The farmhouse is two storeys high.
On the southeast elevation, the ground floor has an entrance that is set within a modern porch, which has a stone surround and a deep lintel with chamfered reveals. The lintel is inscribed with "1 7 6 1," referencing the Whitehead and Midwood families. There are two four-light stone mullioned windows on this floor, both chamfered and recessed. The first floor has two three-light stone mullioned windows and one two-light stone mullioned window, all matching the style of those below.
The northwest elevation includes a two-storey lean-to extension with a catslide roof, featuring one two-light stone mullioned window. On the northeast gable, there is a small lean-to extension on the ground floor and one two-light stone mullioned window on the first floor.
