Description
Wards End is an early to mid 18th century farmhouse constructed from coursed millstone grit stone, featuring quoins and a stone slate roof with moulded footstones. The east elevation has a modern brick chimney. The building is two storeys high.
On the south elevation, the ground floor has a concrete-faced plinth and includes one five-light stone mullioned window with all mullions removed, and one four-light stone mullioned window with two mullions removed. The first floor has two four-light stone mullioned windows, each with two mullions removed.
The east elevation features a blocked doorway and a blocked two-light stone mullioned window. The north elevation has an outshut extension at the eastern end with a catslide roof, and it includes one two-light stone mullioned window with a removed mullion. On the west elevation, the first floor has one recessed two-light stone mullioned window with a removed mullion.
