Description

Clough House Farm is a house and former barn dating from the mid to late 18th century, with later alterations. It is constructed of hammer-dressed stone with quoins, and has a pitched stone slate roof which has been recently re-roofed. The south elevation features a ground floor entrance with stone surrounds and tie-stones, including a motif on the lintel. There is a central stack. The ground floor also has one 4-light stone mullioned window, recessed and originally chamfered, but with two mullions now removed, and a 3-light stone mullioned window that has been altered, with one mullion removed. The first floor has a 4-light stone mullioned window, chamfered and recessed, but also with two mullions removed, and a 3-light stone mullioned window where one mullion has been removed. The north elevation has assorted altered and later windows. The east gable has two later single-light windows. The former barn to the east end has been rebuilt and has a east elevation with one 4-light stone mullioned window, potentially a former 8-light, and a 2-light stone mullioned window, possibly a former 4-light.
